  37. The answer (already pointed out by somebody else on this forum) is given on
  38. page 463 of the German edition.  To recapitulate, the problem is that VMS
  39. ZIP files are stored in a text format (Stream_LF), and so Kermit transfers
  40. them in text mode.  You must use SET FILE TYPE IMAGE to override this.
